If you want depth, here you will find up to 40 meters. And south you can visit at any time of the year.
North of Phu Quoc – the turtle island
The northern part of Phu Quoc is a kind of historical property of Vietnam. The Turtle island or Hon Doi Moi earned its nickname by an abundance of turtles in the past, but turtles have not been seen here for a long time. A large area of coral is located at a depth of only 0.5 meters, which is convenient for snorkeling. The average dive depth is only 8 meters, the maximum depth is 12 meters. You can visit the north from October to June, at other times there are high waves here.
Interesting underwater world
Under the water in Phu Quoc, you can see all that have no value to local fishermen or what managed to slip from their nets. Also a rich macro life. Many nudibranch’s, worms, sea cucumbers, crabs of different sizes. Cuttlefish come seasonally. Small reef fish are also abundant. Lots of soft and hard corals.
Note! Large animals such as sharks and wrecks are not found here. A great rarity, but it is possible to meet a turtle or small stingray in the south.
